Chapter 9. Accept the Bond?
Nina POV
Ryder placed the back of his palm on top of my forehead, and I felt intense sparks loom over my body. I quickly moved away, and his face darkened.
“Don’t do that again,” he warned, his eyes switching from those ocean hues to dark red. I shrank a bit, not wanting to meet the eyes of his beast.
He sensed my discomfort and blinked back his eyes before opening them again. Now they are back to their original color.
“I will have the maids bring you food,” he said.
“Maid?” I managed to voice out, my lips turned up in confusion. I thought this was a hotel, which one is maids again?
But before Ryder could open his mouth, Logan immediately cleared his throat. We all turned to him then.
“I will be downstairs,” he said. Ryder waved for him to leave. He cast me one glance, and I quickly looked away.
“I will be downstairs too,” William suddenly blurted out, and Logan glared at him.
“See you, buddy,” he said, and Ryder nodded.
