Strangely, after Lizzy said those words, I hadn’t been myself. There was this strong, overwhelming urge to fight for dominance within me- anger and jealousy. I shut my eyes, constantly trying to remind myself that I shouldn’t be feeling this way. This isn’t right. I’m still sure that maybe Ryder is mistaking me for someone else or it’s just a prank.

No matter how much I struggled to convince myself, my subconscious seemed not to align with me. So, I gave up. But my thoughts were jolted back when I heard the door pushed open. I lifted my head, and it locked immediately with those piercing ocean hues.
