Chapter 34
I cautiously stepped on the creaky floor, fearing it might give way and I would fall. Trying to lighten my steps, I walked slowly and carefully.
Here I was again in this old house…
I looked around and once more saw Mama and Papa’s wedding picture hanging on the wooden wall. It wasn’t like their wedding picture at home, in Mama’s room, because this one was dirty and some parts were faded.
I continued walking… until I found myself in a room with two broken pink cribs and torn and dirty curtains.
I glanced around again and saw a cracked mirror on a dresser. There was a picture attached to the mirror.
I was still quite far from the dresser, so I couldn’t see the photo clearly yet. But it seemed like an old family picture of ours…
As I approached, I could make out that it didn’t seem to be our old family picture after all. It was blurry… but I could see a woman and a man holding two babies side by side, with a young boy, maybe around 3 or 4 years old,
