Chapter 2

Sandy’s POV

It was almost noon when I woke up inside a small room that seemed very familiar to me. I found myself lying on the floor. Above me was a painting of a pregnant woman that looked very eager to give birth to her child.

I turned to my side in search of Judy. I couldn’t see her anywhere inside the small room. After waiting for Judy to no avail, I decided to consult my inner wolf to know if Tommy had appeared while I was asleep. My inner wolf told me that I shouldn’t bother about asking for Tommy since I had boldly rejected him in front of Judy.

As I thought about what my inner wolf had said to me, I slowly began to remember how I had rejected Tommy. As soon as the pictures of Judy laughing at me began to form inside my head, I lowered my head and started crying myself. I had ruined my relationship with my mate.

My inner wolf told me to see the doctor because of my current situation, and even though I was reluctant to obey, I found myself in front of the pack’s hospital and on my way to see the official pack’s doctor.

The pack’s doctor asked me if I had hurt myself as soon as he began to examine me. I nodded in silence because I didn’t want to talk much, and I was in no mood to answer any unnecessary questions from the doctor.

“Please, turn to your side,” the pack’s doctor instructed.

I listened and obeyed.

After a while, he told me to stand up and leave since he was done with treating my wounds.

“Thank you, doctor,” I said and left.

Feeling a bit better after the treatment I got from the hospital, I got home only to meet an angry Judy screaming that she wasn’t going to marry a cursed man.

I was suddenly curious to know what had happened to Judy and why she was screaming so loudly at the top of her voice, but because of Judy’s current mood, I felt it was best for me not to get involved in something that didn’t concern me.

I tried to look away as I saw my stepmother, Chloe, pamper her daughter, Judy, with so much love and attention, as if she wanted me to get jealous of the two of them.

I ignored the relationship between mother and daughter that was going in front of me and headed toward my room when Judy turned her neck toward my direction and yelled at me.

“Where do you think you are going?” Judy’s tone was very unfriendly.

“I want to go to my room,” I responded. “Today has been a very busy day for me.”

Judy rushed toward me with a smile on her face that I had never seen before and asked me if I wanted to get married so badly.

I was very scared and confused at the moment. I carefully reminded her I had rejected Tommy, who I was supposed to get married to.

“Don’t be a slow brat,” Judy said, laughing out loudly. “The person I am talking about isn’t Tommy. In fact, I am talking about someone who is way more powerful than Tommy. Just to make you understand how powerful he was, the man I am talking about is the brother of the alpha of the most powerful pack, and the name of the pack is the Blood Moon Pack. Have you heard of the name of such a pack?”

“Of course,” I responded, feeling slightly disturbed. “Didn’t I also hear you right now say that the pack was cursed?”

“No!” Judy squeezed her face. “You didn’t hear me well. You heard wrong, Sandy! Also, if you are planning on getting away from me, marrying this powerful man might be your way out.”

I was terrified as soon as Judy was done talking because, deep down, I knew that if this was a good thing, Judy would never give it up to her.

Politely, I refused Judy’s offer, and it pissed her off to the point that she stood up and pushed me to the floor, saying that I would marry Hogan whether I wanted it or not.

I became so frightened because of Judy’s actions that I stood up from the floor, rushed to my room, and locked the door tightly so that no one could come inside. No matter the amount of curses that Judy called me, I still didn’t open the door.

“Open the door, you stupid bitch!” Judy cursed out loudly, but I still didn’t answer her.

After a round of insults and constant knocking on my door, Judy stopped and went to answer her mother, who told her not to worry about my stubbornness.

Alone for more than a minute, I made a firm decision after thinking about the current situation of things to ask my father, Paul, for help as soon as he returned from where he went to.

Although it was very uncommon for me to bother my father with my personal issues because he was always very busy since he was the pack’s beta, this time was different. I knew I had to do something if I wanted Judy’s attitude toward me to change for good.

After thinking about my plans carefully, I decided it was best for me to stay up all night and wait for my father to come back.

By midnight, my father was yet to return. I was really worried sick but hesitated to send him a text message because I didn’t want to bother him.

As I continued to wait and hoped for my father to send me a message, I suddenly received a message from an unknown number who identified himself as Tommy.

In the message, Tommy told me that Judy had lied to him and had taken a video without his consent. He said he was sorry for hurting me and that he hoped I would come to a place where we could sit down and have a chat face-to-face.

I was really confused at this point because I didn’t know why Judy hated me so much.
