I looked at him with a frown. His eyes flashing with defiance as I declared, “I’ll find my way out, with or without your permission.” My voice was firm, unwavering, and laced with annoyance.

But the alpha merely chuckled, a low, condescending sound that almost made me freeze on the spot . “You’re bluffing, Emma,” he sneered, his smile dripping with amusement. “You’ll come crawling back, begging for my help and guidance.
