With a flick of her wrist, the witch sent him flying across the clearing, his body crashing to the ground. The Alpha struggled to rise, but the witch’s magic held him in place, pinning him down.

“You have 24 hours,” she repeated, her voice echoing through the clearing.

“What should I do to make up for what happened? There has to be a way to redeem myself. What you saw earlier was not what it seemed like. I would never hurt her, and you know that. I made a promise, I always see to my promise, so please don’t get angry over it. We can talk about it more maturely, and she would tell you exactly what happened if that is what you want,” he said through gritted teeth. He looked anxious and terrified. His eyes grew bigger as he watched the witch shrug her shoulders at him.
