Chapter 51. Walk

Cristine's POV

My thumb is trembling as I slowly click the play button.

"Xander! Help us, please!"

"Daddy!"

I gasped when I saw two figures on the screen. There were a lady and a little boy; both of their hands and feet were tied while sitting on the dirty pavement.

They were crying for help when the scene suddenly changed. The group of terrorists, whose faces were covered with black cloth, appeared.

"Cristine, you see those poor rats? They need your help. If only Xander gave us the money, then there would be no problem. He even reported this to you," one of the guys said.

My lips parted. How did they find out that I was working on their case?

"So if you still want to have them alive, give the money or fight with us."

The guy suddenly laughed like an evil from hell. It was loud and scary, making my whole body freeze.

"Damn you! Where did you take them?" I shouted, even though I knew that they couldn't hear me.
