Chapter 34. Rich as Hell

Writer’s POV

“Don’t! Don’t do it. If it’s money you want, I’ll pay.” The unknown lady said, pleading with the person on the other end of the phone.

“You think you can buy my silence?”

“Just name your price, I’ll figure out a way to come up with the money.”

“50 million for my silence, a hundred million to get rid of the pictures and 200 million for the video.” A mischievous voice came from the other end of the phone. A loud chuckle followed and then a whisper: “You have two days.”

Things were getting a lot more complicated. I watched as my pen moved, imagination played out like reality. I could feel the emotion, the tension in this stranger’s bones.

“That’s too much…How do I get such an amount in two freaking days? Give me more time, please.”

“One week, nothing more, nothing less.” The call got disconnected immediately.
