Chapter 16. The Beginning of My Journey

Jake’s POV

I knew that convincing Milan to bring our daughter to my pack won’t be easy but I knew that I had to try.

One of the reasons was that I needed them to help me lift the curse and also I wanted to be a part of their life and journey. I knew that Milan and my daughter had gone through so much in the past years and I had to make up for it.

“Alright, I will let you know my decision after I speak with my daughter when she returns from school.” She told me, still folding her hands.

I could tell that Milan was conflicted about my request. On one hand, she wanted to help me and believed that my daughter would be safer in my pack. But on the other hand, she was worried about how my daughter would react to being taken away from her home and everything she knew.

I understood her concerns, but I also knew that my daughter would be better off with me. I just needed to convince Milan of that.
