Chapter 27. The Coffee Shop Meeting

Milan’s POV

I was at the restaurant waiting patiently for Alpha Jake who had promised to be there around 3 pm. I ordered coffee as I waited for him to arrive.

We had a lot to discuss concerning Ava and me moving to his pack.

It was already 3:15 and there was still no sign of Alpha Jake. I was starting to get worried and a little annoyed.

I mean, I had cleared my schedule for him and here I was waiting for him with nothing to do. Just as I was about to give up, I saw him rush through the restaurant door.

“I’m so sorry I’m late,” he said, panting. “There was an accident on the freeway and I got stuck in traffic.”

“It’s okay,” I said, trying to hide my frustration. “I’m just glad you’re here now.”
