Milan’s POV

Scott’s request caught me off guard. I hadn’t seen or spoken to him in years, and I wasn’t sure if I wanted to see him now. “I don’t know if that’s a good idea,” I said, my voice uncertain. “I’m not sure I’m ready to talk to you.”

“I understand,” Scott said, sounding dejected. “I know I have a lot of making up to do, and I don’t expect you to forgive me right away. But I just want to start by saying I’m sorry. And I’m here if you ever want to talk.”

“Don’t bother because I have no interest in discussing anything with you,” I said and hung up before he could say something.
