Chapter 211. The Bank Transfer

Chris’s POV

I was driving from work in my Aston Martin, with the windows pulled down, the cool breeze of the night wooshing in. There was no traffic and the road was a bit clear. 

Mind you, it was after midnight. I had stayed a while at the office because it was my first day back after the scandal. There was a lot that I had to take care of, and now that most of those things were done, I was proud of myself. 

While I was at work, I had received a notification from the bank app but I had only glanced at it, hoping that when I got home, I would take a better look at it. My guess was that Linda had withdrew some money to spend on herself, and that was nothing to question. 

Pulling into the compound that led to my luxurious villa, I parked next to the other expensive cars that I owned. Most of the workers had gone home already, leaving only a few; the ones that worked for the nightshift.
