Chapter 12. Chris’s Revelation
Chris's POV
We were at the back of a very expensive rental car that I had ordered even before talking to Linda.
I was sitting at the right side of the car, by the door, while she sat on the left side, not even giving me a pinch of her attention.
I did not mind, or maybe I did. But heck, I did not have any real choice here but to be happy that she had even agreed to the conditions that I had told her about when she was still in the holding cell.
She was so adamant about not wanting to be in the same house as me, but after explaining over and over that this was the only way she would be able to get out, she gave in.
I wanted to tell her the truth about Meghan, I really did, but I decided to wait until she had calmed down a bit. I hurt her, I really did. I knew that. That was why I was willing to be fully honest and try to gain her trust back, while mending her heart.
