Chapter 11. Confrontation
Linda's POV
This was a setup. It had to be.
There I was, sitting in the holding room of the police station, handcuffed to the desk.
My eyes were drained from all the crying I had done, and my heart was heavier than a truck full of bricks.
No one was in the room with me and I did not know what was going to happen next. I had cried for a lawyer but no one was taking me seriously. My throat was parched and my stomach needed food.
I felt so tired; emotionally, mentally, and physically.
I still could not believe that Mitch was dead, it shook me to the bones. Every time my mind pushed the image of him lying lifeless on the bed, a shudder would run through me and my heart would skip a beat.
I had begged the officers not to disclose any information out to the public and they had assured me that they were not going to do so. I also pleaded with them that I should be the one to tell the news to my brother and Mitch’
