Chapter 284

Sensing that Lilah Hart was looking at her, the woman turned her head almost instantly.

Their gazes met—Lilah stared into those deep brown eyes and froze for a second. There was this odd feeling creeping up inside of her, like she had run into someone from a long time ago. But she was sure… she’d never met this woman before.

The woman seemed to feel the same. After staring at Lilah for a few seconds, her eyes suddenly looked a little misty.

Lilah blinked, unsure if she was imagining it, because the woman quickly turned her head back.

Just as Lilah straightened slightly and prepared to focus on the stage, the woman looked her way again and asked, “Hey, sweetie, how old are you?”

Kind of a strange question to get out of nowhere.

Lilah was clearly caught off guard.

But seeing the woman’s warm expression, she replied honestly, “I’m twenty-two.”

The woman gave a small nod and turned back around.

Lilah sat there still a bit stunned.
