Chapter 66. Stay Away From Any Male

Xerina’s POV

The room shrunk as Rasmus settled on the bed beside me, dominating the space in a way that made it difficult to breathe.

My heart hammered in my chest as I tried to make sense of what was happening. Why wasn’t he leaving? I felt the bed dip under his weight, and the warmth of his body seeped into my side, making it impossible to ignore the proximity.

I forced myself to meet his gaze, my mind racing with confusion and uncertainty. His expression was calm, almost too calm, as he looked down at me with those piercing eyes that always seemed to see right through me. His brows lifted slightly.

“Come here, little wolf,” he commanded this time.

Shock rippled through me, and I quickly shook my head, narrowing my eyes at him. “No, I’ll sleep on my own,” I insisted, my voice a bit more frantic than I intended.

But Rasmus was unfazed by my resistance.

Without warning, he reached out, his strong hand wrapping around my arm with ease.
