Alaric’s POV

“I’m going on a trip with Daisy and I need you to be in charge while we are gone,” I said to my beta Oliver.

“I don’t think this is the right time to go on trips, the witches just attacked a few days back, and the villagers are still in fear,” Oliver replied.

“Don’t worry about that the witches will not attack again,” I said.

“How are you so certain?” he asked.

“I’m sure of it,” I said confidently.” I have taken care of everything, so you will be in charge while we are away.” My voice was strong and clear, leaving no room for doubt.

“I trust you to make good decisions and keep everything safe until we return,” I said, trying to instill confidence in him.
