Chapter 12. The Black Card

Emma’s POV

I wake up and stretch my arms out to the sides. This is easily the most comfortable bed that I have ever laid in. Rolling over onto my side I let out a scream when I see a man sitting in the corner of my room.

Memories of waking up with strange men hovering on top of me rush through my mind and panic rise in my chest. I thought I was safe. I thought my old life was over but it appears that it has followed me here as well.

The man gets to his feet and rushes to my side and his quick movements only make me scream louder.

“Please,” I scream loudly. “Please, don’t hurt me.”

Suddenly the door to my room swings open and Ethan rushes into my room. He gathers me into his arms and the rush of tingles from his touch soothes my panic.

“What the fuck, Daniel,” Ethan screams at the man that is standing frozen on the ground as he watches me cry.

I open my eyes and look up at the man that is standing in the middle of my room and I realize
