Chapter 16. Rare Blood

Emma’s POV

Ethan and I sit silently in the Pack Clinic waiting room while I wait to be seen. The air between us is awkward and I am sure it is because I stopped him from punishing Daniel. I realize that I probably need to apologize but I don’t know what to say.

“Emma Paxton,” A small blonde nurse calls but I don’t move. “Emma Paxton,” She calls out again and I remain seated.

Ethan elbows me in the side. “That’s you,” He says quietly.
