Chapter 13. You Belong To Me

Emma’s POV

Sliding into the passenger side of Daniel’s fancy sports car, anxiety and excitement are both bubbling in my stomach. I have never been to a mall before and I do not know what to expect.

Daniel pulls up outside a large building with different signs hanging on the outside. As he pulls into the parking spot I grip the seat I am sitting on in fear. What if someone recognizes me there? We are off the pack lands now and I no longer feel safe.

Seeing that I am having an internal struggle with myself, Daniel reaches over and gives my hand a little squeeze. “I won’t let anything happen to you,” He says kindly but with a serious look on his face.

Taking a deep breath, I nod to him and reach for the handle of the car door. But before I can open it, Daniel is already on my side of the car. Holding the door open for me and offering me his hand. My eyes widen as I look up at him because I have never seen anyone move so quickly.
