I sit at my office desk and look over the papers that have built up over the past few days. I have been ignoring my duties as an Alpha because of everything that is going on in my personal life. At the bottom of the stack is the divorce papers that I had Emma sign. Flipping to the last page I notice that the ink from her signature is still smudged from the tears that fell from her eyes.

“Ethan,” Emily’s voice comes through my office door, loud and cheerful before she barges inside.
