Chapter 57. The Wedding

Ethan’s POV

Emily sits on our bed with her bottom lip stuck out in a very impressive pout. “I can’t believe that you are leaving me this close to our wedding.”

Bending over I place a little kiss on her forehead, before I head into the bathroom to finish getting ready. As I look in the mirror pull down the collar of my shirt to look at the mark that still resides on my neck. It is just as dark as the day that Emma put it there. I thought once your mate had died the mark was supposed to fade over time.

Emily comes into the bathroom and catches me looking at the mark on my neck. “That hideous mark will be gone in just a few weeks,” she says as she wraps her arms around my waist.

Peeling her arms from around my waist I strip off my clothes and head into the shower. Before I can even get the water started, Emily is behind me in the shower trying to start something.

“Emily,” I growl in frustration. “I don’t have time for this.”

“It won’t take lon
