Chapter 103. Revenge
Madison’s POV
Hurriedly, I supported the book rack before it could completely fall, but I was unable to stop some books from falling to the floor.
One by one, they fell, and I closed my eyes to protect my eyes from the dust that had accumulated on the books. One of the hard books fell on my head, making me hiss at the pain of having my head knocked.
I tried to duck, but since I was holding the wooden book rack, I had nowhere to hide and could only brace myself.
Some books with sharp edges also induced a tiny wound on my cheek, and the blood trailed down to my jaw. The sting made me wince, but I stood still.
After a few seconds, the commotion finally ceased, and I heaved in relief.
Just as I bent down to start arranging the books back to their position, another book came falling down, and I pursed my lips, but chose to ignore it.
