Raymond’s POV
The moment Aurelia, Kane, and their entourage left, I went back to the mansion just as I left.
The guards at the entrance stared at me in shock, probably wondering how I had left unnoticed, but I was in no mood to make any clarifications.
I hadn’t even reached my chambers when I saw Alec, who heaved in relief the instant he caught sight of me.
“Alpha, thank goddess. You came back.”
Without giving any response, I went to my chambers, and he followed closely behind.
As soon as I settled down, Alec asked, “What changed your mind? I remember that you did not listen to anything I had to say.”
I rubbed my aching temple before giving a reply, “I met someone on the way.” I finally said, and he tilted his head in confusion.
“Someone? Who is that capable person?”
I snorted, “It’s a rogue.”
Alec paused, and parted his lips to say something, to which I quickly interrupted.
