Raymond’s POV
“Alpha.” Alec lowered his head respectfully the moment he entered.
I leaned into the cushion as my hands worked on an exquisitely carved wooden puzzle - a relic from my forefathers with edges that seemed timeworn but remained smooth, and easy to control.
On the surface of the puzzle were images of several wolves of different shades of fur. The puzzle box might seem like a child’s play, but it helped calm the mind and focus on ideas for important matters.
“How is it going about the Vampires and the rogues?” I asked, without raising my head.
