Chapter 32. Quarantine

Raymond’s POV

In the pack, there are three infirmaries built close to my mansion, and there were another three built in different locations in the pack.

Yet, those other three were smaller and less spacious in comparison to the one built close to my mansion. Moreover, the pack’s most renowned Physician, Whitmore, works in the three infirmaries.

The moment I reached the infirmary in the middle, which also turned out to be the biggest, some sharp-eyed people sighted me, and at that moment, I knew I needed to address the crowd.

Before any of them could raise their voices, I stood at the threshold of the infirmary, feeling the weight of their grief boring at me like a mountain.

They all fell silent, but the accusation and the desire to seek answers could be vividly seen in their red-rimmed eyes.

The situation was far worse than I had initially thought.

Taking in a deep breath, I began, “My people. I offer my condolences to the deceased. T
