Chapter 30. Disease
Madison’s POV
After a last warning glare, Arthur spun around and strode away.
Mendy sprang forward, anxiety etched on her small face, “My lady, we seem to have angered Sir Arthur, what should we do? What should we do?” She blurted out anxiously, her worry blatant.
It took a while for me to calm down, and once I did, I did not dare to stay in the dungeons anymore. But that does not mean I have forgotten about Chloe.
Still, the only person in the position to help me was Raymond, and I planned to make the whole incident about Chloe known to him.
Mendy hurried to follow in my steps, “My lady, you are not saying anything.” She cried in agitation.
“I shall have a discussion about it with Raymond,” I replied calmly, and she seemed to gasp in shock.
“My lady, why are you hell-bent on helping that woman? For all you know, she might really be a vile woman, what if you help the wrong person?” She blurted, her voice trembling with unease.
