Madison’s POV
Turning to Mendy, I said, “Mendy, hurry and lead me to the library.”
Thereafter, we retired to the library, and with Mendy’s assistance, I was able to retrieve several volumes to take back to my chambers for an in-depth study.
Mendy asked no question along the line, and she merely accompanied me in the process, giving me her full support even though I could see the doubt in her eyes.
But despite delving into the texts for several hours, until the sun dipped below the horizon, I was unable to find any clue or anything useful.
I could not believe it, and also did not stop poring over the contents. Going as far as ignoring my surroundings and even Mendy.
Just as I concentrated on flipping through a large book, I suddenly felt a firm palm resting on my shoulders.
A familiar presence, gentle and serene looked over me, bringing with it a sense of comfort. Lifting my head, I found Raymond staring at my face intently.
