Chapter 11. My Overbearing Bully
When I arrived home, I was displeased to see Mr. Keeler waiting for me on my front porch. He waved as I parked in my driveway, and I sighed before waving back.
“Hello, Edgar,” Mr. Keeler greeted me in a friendly manner.
“How can I help you, Mr. Keeler?” I asked.
“I know you’re new to the neighborhood, but my neighbor on the right and I have been having problems. He claims I’ve been threatening him and just told me he called the police on me. I was hoping you could help clear things up with the police for me. It would sound better coming from someone like you,” he asked, his tone pleading. Before I could answer, my cellphone began to ring. I looked at it and saw it was Austin calling.
“Hold that thought,” I said, raising a hand to Mr. Keeler and answering the phone.
“Hey, what’s wrong?” I asked.
