Chapter 14. My Bully Teases Me
When we got to the campus, we headed straight for our office. Austin had made some chitchat with me when we arrived, but he was still oozing depression. I made sure to close the door to our office after we entered it and even closed the blinds. I wanted to make him feel better, so I decided to give in to his ridiculousness.
“Why did you ask me about the drunk kiss?” I asked him as he put his satchel down on his desk. He turned to me and stared at me in surprise.
“I was going to ask if I could… well…” He scratched the back of his neck. “I wanted to show you I was a great kisser and not just someone who is willing to kiss just anyone,” he confessed.
“Are you saying even though you were drunk, you would not have kissed anyone else but me?” I pried.
“I… like you. That is why I kissed you. Even drunk, I have standards. If I had to kiss Tabitha, I would have never done it… I know I joked about dating you, but I would be lying if I said I was not hopeful that we wou
