Myles POV
“What is it, Anna?” I asked calmly, but the secretary was already picking up the remote from the table.
I watched as she turned the television on and flipped to a news channel, and then came to stand next to my chair so she could have a better view, too.
What was it now? I wondered in silence as I directed my attention to the news.
“In breaking news today...” The reporter started. “…a case that’s been sending shockwaves through the community has taken a surprising turn. The Murdock Enterprises vs. The Jonathan Family house case, which centers around the controversial demolition of a sanctuary for disabled children, has sparked outrage. But what’s even more shocking? The man who many believed would take the case head-on, Myles Voss, a renowned lawyer known for his passion for justice, has been mysteriously silent on the matter.”
The screen showed images of the house, which they’d have us believe was a humble, but vital haven for children
