Chapter 38

Serena POV

Minutes turned into hours, and hours turned into days, and finally, the supposed wedding was upon us.

I didn’t really see much of Myles before the wedding, and I was grateful for that reason. As it was, I wasn’t even looking forward to seeing him, or so I thought, but at the same time I couldn’t ignore the fact that I felt angry at him for keeping away from me.

The only times I had talked to him in the days that followed before the wedding were when he’d call, and his calls were usually to pass orders to me hastily and then hang up even before I could say anything else.

The preparations had gone well. As well as we could think of, and believe me, I was shocked to find out that Naomi and Damian were in charge of the preparations. I guess that was the one thing that made me happy during that time.

I felt happier knowing that Naomi and Damian were going through the pain of making arrangements for my wedding and I didn’t hesitate to rub it
