“What the fuck are you saying?” I growled.
“It’s not what I’m saying, boss.” Dean shrugged defensively. “It’s what the boys are saying. You were supposed to be at yesterday’s service, but then you had a total blackout where you almost crashed, and then you ran home immediately, probably…”
He trailed off when he noticed the glare I was giving him.
“I’m not the one coming up with all of these, Boss.” He shrugged again. “Like I said, people have been talking and rumours spread pretty fast.”
“Well then, whoever’s spreading those rumors will hope they hadn’t been born when I finally get my hands on them!”
With that, I pushed past Dean. I had heard enough of that but I didn’t want to return to Serena either. She was doing well by herself, and I mean, what was the damn point anyway? She had already made it very clear she didn’t want my help and was okay with handling things on her own.
