Damien was not really aware of what wolfsbane was, but he had a very good suspicion that Cassandra’s father would have an idea or two, so he called the man he disliked so much. He was surprised that, as reciprocating as that feeling was, the man actually answered the call.

“I hope that if you are disturbing me again, it must be for something important or else…”

“Mr. Combs was the one who poisoned your daughter. He said that he gave her something like wolfsbane. I’m not sure what that is.”

Damien heard an incredibly heavy sigh coming from the other side of the line.

“I can’t believe that I wasted all that money just for that bastard to lie to me and say it was something else.”
