Damien couldn’t believe his ears, but just then a memory invaded his mind. Right after the accident, he remembered seeing members of the Neon Spiders stepping out of Sylvester’s car with him. Why was he with gangsters who were after his daughter?

“Was it the Neon Spiders that poisoned Cassandra?” he asked, pacing around and making sure to keep his voice low so that nobody in the clinic could hear him as he sat in the small waiting section.

Sylvester was shocked that the young man had found out about the Neon Spiders, or maybe he was more surprised that Damien was confronting him about it. That boy was so incredibly nosy in his eyes that he wouldn’t be surprised if he knew even more than that.
