Just as she expected, her father was already pouring harsh words at her, as if he didn’t even notice that she was on a clinic bed, trying to hold herself together and stay alive.

Cassandra just started pleading with him to stop, saying that he was making the headache she was having worse than it was before. Then he started demanding to know what she had been discussing with Damien only a second ago.

Not wanting to discuss anything more with him, she picked up the white cloth that was covering half of her body and used it to cover herself completely so that she wouldn’t have to listen to her father nagging her constantly as well.

Damien wished that he didn’t have to leave his girlfriend alone with her father. He wondered if it was okay for him to call her that again since they had not really officially gotten back together completely, but he decided that he was going to wait until she officially announced that they were back together before he would start
