Chapter 123. A Vow of Revenge

Alpha Logan's POV

It was my unique gift. I could take people's pain away but it goes into me so that I feel the pain, instead of them. And as I took their pain, it helped them heal.

My body eventually started to tremble visibly, sweat pooling in my forehead. Elijah once again moved to separate my arm from Selene's own but I just grabbed it right back.

“You can't take no moreAlpha. Too much could kill you.”

“Then, I will be dying for a great cause…” my voice trailed off. I drew a sharp shaky breath, my body gradually growing numb as the pain coursing through me became unbearable. 

Finally, I noticed Selene stirring awake and Elijah once again separated our hands. I fell back to the floor with a thud. Elijah rushed to my side.

“I will live, don't worry,” I assured him, ending my words with a groan.

He remained by my side, his gaze on me worried until we heard a soft gasp, and then a low groan as Selene tried to sit up on
