Chapter 19. An Unforgettable Heartache

Issahil's POV

“Oh my! He is so cute!” 

Nica had my son Erlind in her arms and was bouncing him about. 

Freya let out an excited yelp as she reached out to tickle the baby and Carlos seemed to have his thumb gripped by Erlind's tiny fingers. He was making baby sounds with the baby who was rewarding him with giggles.

Strangely enough, Erlind didn't cry even though he wasn't familiar with the people surrounding him. Instead, he seemed to be having a really good time.

I was standing on one side of the living room watching them with a smile on my face.

“Well, that was brave of you. I wasn't expecting you to tell them about the baby.”

My father came to stand beside me. After dinner, he had stepped into his room saying he had to take care of something and was just joining us now.
