Chapter 54. Complete Happiness

“Rafa…” Aleah called out when she saw him in the doorway of her hospital room.

The man’s chest rose and fell with his panting, it was obvious that he had been running on his way to this room. Then, wordlessly, he walked over to Aleah and sat down beside her.

“Can I see the test results?” Rafael asked in a choked, hoarse voice.

“Here,” Rose said as she held out the envelope with the lab test results to Rafael. “Congratulations on becoming parents-to-be. You must celebrate this miracle.”

Tensely, Rafael opened the envelope. He read it carefully until his hand trembled at the information that the pregnancy test result was positive for pregnancy. He couldn’t stop himself from crying.
