Chapter 55. The Happiest Man
“Stay inside, don’t get out of the car yet. I’ll get the wheelchair for you.” I’m going to open the door,” Rafael warned Aleah to stay in the car while he got the wheelchair. Rafael also forbade Aleah to get out of the wheelchair when he pressed the password to open the door to his apartment.
“I’m healthy and I have two legs that can still be used properly. I can walk by myself,” Aleah complained. She was about to rise to her feet when Rafael suddenly grabbed her shoulders to keep her seat.
“Don’t walk alone. You can’t get tired,” he said, pushing Aleah’s wheelchair into their apartment. Rafael carried Aleah to her room and laid her on the bed.
“I feel like a fragile human being when you treat me like this. Isn’t carrying me too much? I’m perfectly healthy, Rafa…”
“Shhh… don’t protest so much. I’m doing all this because I want to take care of you, you can’t get too tired,” he said.
Afterward, Rafael waltzed out of the room. He was gone for quite a while
