Chapter 62. Samuel’s Destruction and Aleah’s Happiness
6 months passed…
After the divorce, Samuel felt like he had lost half of his life. He was like an undead who never smiled or talked to anyone anymore. He was more moody. Occasionally he would leave without saying goodbye and always came home late at night when Emily was already asleep because he avoided seeing or even talking to his mother.
Samuel was too angry with his mother. He was angry that Emily was interfering too much in his life.
“I think you’re starting to forget your way home, son…” Emily’s voice quipped sharply at Samuel who had just returned home.
However, Samuel remained silent. He walked towards the stairs and ignored Emily as if she never existed and he never heard anything. He was openly waving the Cold War flag at his mother.
“How long are you going to be angry at mom like this? Are you going to continue being cold like this even if Mom dies?” Emily sobbed bitterly, feeling hurt from months of being ignored by her son.
