Chapter 8. Will You Learn to Love Me?

“Dress up beautifully and fragrantly, I will pick you up soon.”.”

Aleah smiled when she heard Samuel’s words from the other side of the phone before the phone call ended after Aleah sent Samuel the address of her apartment so that he could pick her up immediately.

“You’re stubborn,” Aleah muttered while staring at the message notification from Samuel that appeared on the notification bar, where the man sent her a message after the phone call to simply say ‘I love you’.

Samuel remains stubborn in continuing to show his feelings for Aleah even though he knows Aleah can’t and probably never will love him.

Today is the day they leave for Canada. Finally, Aleah complied with Samuel’s invitation, who invited her to escape from the work environment that made her short of breath every day. Even though Xavier strongly opposed this departure, Aleah remained adamant, and Xavier was forced to allow Aleah to accompany Samuel to Canada, even if only for a few months.
