Chapter 77

Jackson walks towards me, smiling. He is so good at hiding his emotions when needed. I feel like I look like a nervous wreck.

“Hello Kitten, can I have this dance?”

Laughing, I nod, his arms wrapping around me, moving and dancing slowly. It is incredible, forgetting everything like it is just us two.

“You know Jake is here, right?” I look up to him. I haven’t seen Jake at all here, so he must be staying out of my way for obvious reasons.

“No, where is he? I am guessing my Dad told him, and he just showed up.” Another person I don’t want to see, not that I have a choice, so I need to deal with it.

“Don’t worry, you don’t even need to speak to him, just make sure you stay close by me, or just tell your Dad what happened. I am sure he will throw him out.” Jackson laughs, knowing my Dad all too well.
