Chapter 33. Drunken Georgina

“The girls love the puppy. When are you two buying one? Surely it is time to expand the family a little more now by adding a pet?”

Jackson walks away, clearly giving me space to tell her but I don’t want to yet. That is the whole point of tonight, otherwise there is no point her being here tonight.

“No puppy for us, not yet anyway. How is Liam?”

Trying to change the subject is not as easy as you would think with Georgina. She tends to find so many ways to get to the same point she was on.

“He is fine, less annoying than he used to be amazingly. Still no deal on us having a baby though.”

She actually does want a baby. I feel for her because clearly Liam is not ready.

“Let’s talk about that tonight.”

Nodding, she agrees, sitting with the girls. Marcus walks in and goes straight upstairs, no doubt to Jackson.

“Right, be back down soon.”

Getting up, I walk upstairs. I go into the office and, sure enough, they are both there sa
