Chapter 27
“Stalking me, Mr. Alex?”
The young woman asked the confused werewolf behind her without turning around. In the dark corridor leading to the main gate, Alex had been following her silently as if he was trying to figure out something. Of course, he was. But she’d felt him staring at her.
He was anxious about the previous night’s happening. Anxious to know how he’d escaped that monster’s hands. And, most importantly, who the woman he was blindly following was.
“Not likely, witch girl.” He said, full of pride.
“I only stalk what I want to catch. And you aren’t my prey.” He added.
“But you are mine,” she retorted.
“Did I hear you call me ‘girl’?” She asked without turning to look at him.
“Oh, yeah, aren’t you one? “He asked mockingly.
“How did you even know my name? To begin with.”
She did turn to slant him a glance at that, even knowing he couldn’t see her face under the hood of the scarlet cloak she wore, which she used to cover her
