I had other crucial things to attend to. Like, trying to get Chad to calm down before he did something that both of us would regret in the morning.
The thin curtains at the window fluttered due to the gentle and cool breeze coming in. The light from the full moon was evident when one looked outside from the view of the window.
I was deeply screwed, and not even in a fun way. From the line of Chad’s questioning, it felt like he had found out my secret; that he had figured out who I truly was.
