Chapter 73

Billy and I walked into the large room and the guard left out. The doors were closed and I could help but look around. The tiles were golden marble ones that sparkled under the lights of the chandeliers hanging on the ceiling. 

The windows were large and silk curtains tried to block the natural light from outside but did not do much to help with that. But I think that it was just the aesthetics of the room. The walls were smooth and had art paintings hanging on them; almost twenty. 

I did not know the exact amount but I could tell that they were a lot and expensive. Perfume filled the air and the silence in the room was enough to bore a hole in someone’s heart. 

A throne sat almost at the back of the room. It was adorned with jewels and emeralds; on it sat a very beautiful lady. Her presence reeked of power and authority. She had a nonchalant look on her face as she studied us.
