Chapter 45

“Yes, it was,” She replied in a small voice as she stared into Levi’s ocean-blue eyes. Her heart was now beating faster and even though she saw Levi walking closer to her, she did not attempt to step away or stop him. She stood there and allowed him to get closer to her. 

“And I’m so very sorry about that, Clary,” Levi said as he took another step closer to her. He was standing right in front of her now. His breathing had deepened and his throat was getting dry so he had to swallow. 

He decided to be bold and did something that he knew was a risk. He touched Clary’s bare arms and ran his hand along them. Goosebumps awoke instantly and he could not help but smile knowing that his touch affected her.
