Logan’s POV
At first, I didn’t know how to approach her. I was awkward, shy even. She was quiet but had this presence about her that made it hard to look away. My grandfather noticed, of course. He noticed everything.
“Logan,” he said one evening, a smirk tugging at his lips. “You like the girl, don’t you?”
I had stammered out a denial, my cheeks burning. “No, Grandfather. It’s not like that.”
He had laughed, a rare sound from the man who rarely showed emotion. “You’ll learn, boy. Women like her don’t come around often.”
What he didn’t know was that Isabella was the one who gave me the courage to get close to her. She wasn’t as timid as she seemed.
