Layla’s POV

The morning sunlight peeked through the curtains across my room. I groaned softly, stretching my arms above my head before slowly sitting up. 

My body felt heavy, my mind still clouded with the remnants of sleep. Blinking a few times, I reached for my phone on the nightstand, checking the time…7:34 AM.

With a sigh, I forced myself out of bed and walked to the bathroom, dragging my feet across the cold floor. 

I turned on the faucet, splashing water onto my face before grabbing my toothbrush. As I brushed my teeth, I stared at my reflection in the mirror.
